We can’t fathom how Julian May never took out a major award for her Saga of the Exiles, the series is great and later expanded into the Galactic Milieu Trilogy with a transition novel ‘Intervention’ . These are well worth the effort getting past the fairly slow start in book one of The Exiles but hang in there - it really gets better, a lot better!
